A vile smell began to seep through the room. Carrie was the first to fall to it, keeping the sack as far away from her face, gagging. Jorgen followed with delay, coughing and exiting the room without closing the drawers he opened. Myer, deep into his search, had felt the scent reach his nose. He called out to Carrie.
“Don’t know what you’re cooking up over there but it smells rotten, just so you know! Oh and could you let a little light in here to help me out?”
Saul spoke “Please don’t mess with any of the food here, just give me a se- Oh my heavens, that is VILE! I’m opening a window!”
In rush for a window Saul jerked his head up- Thoroughly stopped. His head met the opened box above his head, recoiling back down into his hands, the box's bottom coming with it. Several items were thrown across his back; bandages, small metallic canisters (Now splattering greasy ointments across the floor), knives, clamps, and other basic medical supplies. Carrie spun away from the window to Saul, dropping her watersack in the process, helping him off the floor.
With her aid he was quick to rise (He supposed he still had a few vital breaths left in his body). He rushed for the nearest window, stopping before the spilled watersack. A thick, bloody, mucus-like fluid crept across a now staining the floor. He groaned, another ball to juggle, another mess to clean. He stepped over, throwing open the window, the darkness of the room beginning to vanish. He quickly turned away from the light, eyes still adjusting, watching the room grow in visibility.
